It has been some time since we have given an update on how things are going and all the monkeys are super excited about how the next months will evolve for the service.  Without further ado… or bananas:

Push Monkey now sends desktop notifications on Chrome and Firefox as well!

What this basically means is that we support sending desktop push notifications to over 60% of the users browsing the internet (by browser market share).

When a user comes to the website using Chrome or Firefox, he or she will also see a pop-over message asking for permission to send desktop notifications.

Please note that since our monkeys do require bananas wherever they need to push notifications to, the only browser “jungles” that are currently supported are:

  1. Chrome 43 and above
  2. Firefox 44 and above

Yes, the browser compatibility is already available at no extra cost for all our users that have the plugin installed and updated to the latest version.

We’ve got more news and a few new features coming up so stay tuned.
